As Executive Vice President – Western Region, Tom leads the Western Region, which includes British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan. He is in charge of managing the offices’ strategic planning and executing growth and performance, as well as the insurer, operational, and administrative strategies for the region.

Tom joined BFL CANADA in 2013. Prior to this, he held a variety of senior executive roles with a global insurance broker. His breadth of experience includes providing strategic direction for the Canadian operations of a global insurance firm, implementing and managing general underwriting agency across Canada, and providing leadership for a major retail branch operation.

Before beginning his career as an insurance broker, Tom practiced law in the field of commercial litigation. His primary focus was shareholder and director’s and officer’s litigation.

He is a current member of the Canadian Bar Association and holds a Canadian Risk Management Designation from Simon Fraser University.

Tom is also a member of BFL CANADA’s Office of the President and the Corporate Chief Operating Committee.
