As the cost of employee benefits continues to rise, employers are faced with the challenge of meeting employee expectations while keeping this essential expense under control. David Krieger, Regional Vice-President of Benefits Consulting at BFL CANADA, gives us some food for thought on this complex equation in an article recently published in Benefits and Pensions Monitor magazine.
The solution, he explains, may actually be simple: enhancing employee benefits by introducing choice and flexibility in coverage. “Striking the right balance between cost control and meaningful support to employees” would help meet both employees and employers demands while fostering a positive work environment.
